Which CPAP Mask is right for me?
There are three common types of CPAP masks available;
 | Full Face Masks: Covering the nose and mouth, they are more recommended for “Mouth Breathers“ and those with high CPAP pressure requirements. Unfortunately, they are quite bulky and the size and weight can make wearing the mask an uncomfortable experience. Air leaks are a common complaint, especially when lying on your side or turning over during sleep. Sizes include small, medium and large. 35% of customers select a full face mask. |
 | Nasal Masks: Covering only the nose area, the new generation of masks are quite comfortable.  | Nasal Pillow Masks: By far the most comfortable and lightweight. Nasal pillows fit snuggly inside the nasal passage providing an excellent seal and a great nights sleep. What size mask do I need?
Every CPAP user is unique, not only because of the size and shape of facial features, but also for the degree of tolerance to CPAP therapy and comfort levels.
Finding the correct size of mask can be difficult, especially as the masks are sealed for hygiene purposes.
Please choose carefully as they can not be returned once opened.
There is often a number of different sizes for each mask type, and so it can be difficult to know which one is best for you.

BMC Full Face Mask Sizing
The BMC Full Face Masks come in small, medium and large sizes.
To help determine the size you need, simply measure the distance from the top of the bridge of your nose to halfway between your bottom lip and chin as shown in the picture below.
- Small Size = 8~9cm
- Medium Size = 9~10cm
- Large Size = 10~11.5cm

The BMC Nasal Pillow Mask is very versatile, because the mask we provide includes three different sized pillows all in the one packaging. The nasal pillow mask comes with medium sized pillows fitted, but also includes small and large size pillows in the same packaging. Nice!
In summary, the Nasal Pillow Mask is the most versatile, and it would be almost impossible to get the wrong size.
This is the type of mask that I use and recommend, but you may need a chin strap if you are a 'mouth breather'
If you are looking to purchase a Nasal or Full Face mask on-line, it would be best to buy based on previous experience, such as choosing the mask you used during your CPAP trial. You could also get your sized checked at your local CPAP shop and buy from them or use the measurement technique shown above if purchasing online.
Can I choose a different brand of mask?
Yes, usually we can supply different brands of mask. Please contact us and let us know which brand, type and size of mask you need. We will let you know if we can supply, or at least point you in the right direction.
